Hot Rods 32-34 ford door hinge question

Purchased some new hinges from speedway for my 32-34 ford truck. I was removing the p***enger lower yesterday to prep for new ones. There’s a support that goes from inside door lower hinge to inside door skin. This was welded to the hinge at some point in time of its life. Just looking for some reference photos of what it’s actually supposed to be like. I get the hinge is sandwiched between the door sheetmetal but is there anything else that may be missing
