ok say I have a pickup cab only that i know is in the 32-34 range. I know that on the back you can have 3 different backs( beltline/bolts) I thought that the 32's only had the 7 bolts with the 3 on the bottom under the window but i see pictures of 33's with the same thing...i know 34 has the upper sweep beltline on the back with the bolts. I have seen that the doors are the same. I also saw that 32's have bolt in firewalls.. What should i be looking for to tell the difference? thanks

I think 32 and 33 back panels are the same. The 32 roof doesn't have the extra style line on it like the 33 and 34.(right behind the visor). Everything else you pretty much covered that I know.

34 fords have extra belt line on back of cab 3 instead of two.Thats the fastest way to tell. I think 32 and 33 are the same.

    1) '32 and '33 had the same beltline detail and bolt head arrangement on the back of the cab. The bolt heads are carriage bolts that hold the wood bracing in place inside the cab. '34 only had the extra wide rib accross the back of the cab with a different bolt head arrangement because of it.

    2) '32 had removable firewall just like all other '32 models. '33 and '34 had permanently installed firewall.

    3) '32 had the gas tank under the seat with two square seat bottom cushions so the right-hand cushion could be removed to access the fuel filler. '33 and '34 had a seat riser and a one-piece bottom cushion that was removable to access storage space within the seat riser. * '33 and '34 big trucks used the gas tank under the seat like a '32. *

    4) '32 used a wooden floor board and a wooden toe board. '33 and '34 used a wooden floor board and a steel toe panel.

    5) '32 dashboard had open center oval as the gauge panel was mounted off of the firewall. '33 and '34 dashboard had gauge panel intergral with dash.

    6) the cowl, windsheild, roof, doors and subrails interchange between all 3 years.

This is speaking in terms of differences in the CAB ONLY.

the late 32's do.we have 2 that have it and 2 that don't,and all of them are 32s.other than the firewall and the back of the cab beltline, there are not much to tell them apart.

    hope this helps.

Thanks I wasn't too sure on that. The roof I got with my 34 doesn't have it and I just figured it was a 32 year only.

If I'm not mistaken, the '32 visor is spot welded in the corners to attach it to the cab, whereas in the '33 & '34, it's lag bolted to the cab.

So does a 32 car and truck firewall fit into a 34 ford truck?

It can be used, you just have to drill out all the spot welds in the 34 truck firewall. HRP

Hey newbie, you need to learn to read responses to your questions in other threads before making the same question in a new thread.

Yes, with a few more parts. Buy an inner cowl band and cowl band mounting feet from Brookville, and you can bolt in the 32 firewall like it was made for it. Then redrill the subframe to frame mounting holes.
