Previous best in full street trim (open headers) was a 17.8 @75mph.
I only managed 3 runs the weekend I stripped it due to the weather. Best was a 16.3 @ 83mph! :) and that was with a slightly missed change into 3rd so think it could go a little quicker.
Not sure of the full spec of the motor as it was in the truck when I bought it. It's a 33 21 stud pump in head motor running twin 97's. When I fitted the Eddie Meyer heads and inlet I discovered it has 80 over pistons. I also upgraded to a crab style dizzy.
Never gonna set the world alight but it's fun chipping away at the E.T.'s. Started running 20.4's! :)

I posted a lot on this thread years ago, but I never put up my own truck (since sold) in its final form. Here are a couple of pictures:

Your right, I like it a lot.

  11. I like all the trucks here. I had mine 23 years now. Didn't have much to start with but I drive it every day.

  12. Here is mine as a kid ... long gone <snivel , snivel> 34, sbc ... nice little grocery getter!

This pic was taken at a nearby builders picnic/get together ... I think he had 11 matching 32-34s in the same stage of completion at the time ... just made my heart good to see them.

here's mine--when it was first on the road about 1975. second is when when I bought it back about 2008 or so after 15 years away. It's currently undergoing a painfully slow full rebuild.

Wanted to bump this a bit, 'cause in a day or two I'll have something to add! My buddy Ron Olmstead just finished up his '34, and it's a good'un!

This is my "new" to me '32

I'm not too fond of the stake bed/tailights ,but will narrow the bed by 3 1/2" each side soon and change lights.

Maybe go to a shortened steel 32 box later

Anyone know the history of this one? it appears to have been built in the early 1970's I think.....327,Muncie M-21, 55 Chev rear, with some "modern" speed parts thrown on.

  27. Does anyone know where the Box Truck/Cab Bastards group went?
I finally got a '33 and was going to join the social group,
but I can't find it anymore.
