32-34 pickups chaneled to running boards

    I have the Hot Rod issue that car was featured in. Another real knockout. They just dont build 'em like they used to.

    Taxas Speed's has the bed channeled too. Is the cab seconed aswell?

    Yeah, it's sectioned too. It's not my truck by any means.. But a fella can dream, can't he?;)

    According to Rods and Customs by Bo Bertilsson (the book, not the magazine), Gary "Chop-It" Fioto channeled the body 6 inches, sectioned it 8 inches, and chopped it 7 inches in the front and 6 in the rear to get the proportions you see in the picture I posted.

    I went nuts for Roger Simonatti's truck when I saw it in HRM around 1956:

    Roger's truck inspired me to do this '34 about 45 years later. Keith Tardel, who built mine, talked me out of channeling it for reasons of space and comfort; I'm glad he did because it was plenty cramped even in stock form:

    here's mine back in the day when my dad first put it on the road about 1974/75. it's undergoing full rebuild now.
