Having read that Danbury ceased production of 1/25 scale models, I also wonder if Franklin has done likewise? Also, probably a question to ask the industrious like folks but wondering why the 5w un-chopped version never made it to production.
I had one in 70's maybe 80. From 5 & Dime ,The annual visit once a month, I would check out the Model's . Model kit was Zinc I think ? Was some kind of Metal alloy & some Plastic parts . It was a 2 door Sedan , I can not remember A or 32, , there where several different models & years of cars /vehicles Pre-War
Thanks, was only thinking with regards to the Danbury or Franklin line as they were detail accurate, the graffiti 32 was one of many chopped versions but the un-chopped was left out of the mix for some reason, seems the same with 1/18 th scale by other manufactures.
The Kits I had , I'am sure where 1:25 scale , (zinc /Metal ) back then I would buy many Kits , build & miss match parts , Like we do now ,, In my mid 50's , I have 2 I know maybe 3 Big Duce kits still in box , In the Early , Mid 2000's Some guy was Making bodies in the 5w Non chop & other 32's .For the Big D , I kept putting off on buying one Now hard to find , Occasionally I look for one but it's been some time. I am / was Not Pro builder , but it can get out of hand , Like real thing , To me & for me , seem time really fly's Each day , Like time has sped up , & "Not" really 60 sec in a minute , 60 in a hour , 24 hour's in a day .. ... I loved as kid in 70's to early 80's Going to Word of Wheels show @ DC armory looking @ competition of Model builders Contest.
