Before I sold the 5w that fuelpump owns I was buying 5w garnish mouldings off ebay. They were being built one at a time by a guy doing it part time. The ones I bought(quarter windows and rear) I got for around a $100 ea. even having to bid on them, me against the world (that's how Ebay works, right?:cool::D Haven't seen anyting listed by him for quite awhile so maybe he's waiting to see how the new price range settles in at then start making them again with a higher starting bid.:(

That totals $1,760. right? I better take a second look at the 5Window on the way to work.

All repro moldings are not the same. I've heard nothing good about the cast aluminum moldings and I can tell even from bad pix that the fibergl*** ones would not make me happy. I bought a set for my 5/W done in aluminum sheet metal from Ken Venberg at The Race & Rod Shop, Mankato MN. at the L.A. Roadsters Fathers Day Show in L.A. and I'm still impressed with how well (all 5 pieces) look and fit. I've also had several good originals to carefully compare and I'm happy with them especially when I intend to chop them 3".
I think I paid 550 for the set.

  7. Can you post a pic of these Aluminium moldings.....please!

tell ya the truth, to me that dont seem to bad, if a guy needs a pair or one here or there if you have to buy the whole set it adds up fast tho.

ill probably be buying a pair of quarter window mouldings from them soon.
