    Just a quick question.

Are '34 front crossmemebers the same as '32 front crossmembers?

Yeh I found two reference pics and can see they nothing like each other!

Anyone know if the drop in the crossmember is the same between the two?

I am reading into your question, however; if you are referring to a 32 front cross member for a hot rod, this 32 front x-member is actually based on a model 'A' x-member, which is one inch lower than the stock 32 x-member. The 33/34 x-member would sit the front of your rod, in my guess, approximately 2" higher than the aftermarket 32 x-member... Remember the 33/34 frame has much more of an arch in the frame, while a 32 is somewhat more flat than the 33/34. The 33/34 x-member is also wider than the 32, around 1"....

    Thanks, some good info there.

I don't want an 'A' crossmember because of the drop, but if I went with a '34 I'd end up with a g***er front end!

Just a thought.... If you want a g***er front end, make your front x-member using a piece of tubbing with a bracket or flat plate on the bottom of the tube. When fabriciating the front x-member, you can build in the rake of your rod, obviously taking your caster of the axle into account. Drill the bottom of the plate to accept the spring bolt which centers the spring in your rod. You then use a pair of U-bolts which sandwich the x-member and attaches to the U-bolt bottom plate, on the bottom of the spring...
