Technical '32 axle Question withdrawn

Sorry the pic is really ****py (it's hard to crawl under a car and take a pic on an iPad while holding a ruler). I have just about 3/4" clearance between the lip of the crossmember and the back of the banjo. Might be able to do the mod if you can bend the lip even tighter, but I don't think you could safely get a whole 3/4".

I have the late 32 banjo, which is bigger than the early style.
