Projects 32' cabriolet build

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by holyhackjack, Jan 15, 2010.

  1. Looks good, you're on the right track! there's nothing better than bringing one back from the dead.

Here's mine, it also was once an old race car that was reclaimed from a very large tree in Cherry Hills, Colorado, which is now an expensive suburb of Denver. It had to be cut in half through the rockers to free it from the tree. It also had been channeled and made into a roadster so the windshield frame also had to be refabricated from scratch, so its leaned back slightly and is chopped 2 3/4".

Here it is now, waiting its turn to be finished.

Wow !!!!! that is mental... that car must 'ave been there some time...cool to have the picture of it like that.... I remember an old '56 chevy down at Priors scrap yard over here in England with a tree growing through it... I wish I'd taken a picture at the time.. Any way looks good and like you say 'there's nothing better than bringing one back from the dead.'

  4. Looking good Nick, with all the hard work done, you must be knackered. How about a holiday in Australia to recuperate??? Just bring a few tools with you......

Ummm ??? that would be nice, but I gotta strip and rebuild the gear box first... wouldn't mind going for a supercharger too.... Jim built the motor up nice and strong and it's just a case of saving up and bolting it on ... mind you I think it might be cost me a bit in gas money to get down to Oz though..
    howzitgorn wiv ya anyway?
