Well after lots of work, my ch***is can now carry its own weight. Its a long way from being done, but a big step for me. Orginal rails, flattened 40 rear, model A front, ch***is engineering X member. Rear spring is 35-40 front spring, works perfect. Its not polished like some of the fine ch***is I have seen in here, but it will work for me. It baffles me the talent I have seen in the few years on this board. If I only knew what some of you guys have forgot about hotrods, I would be lucky. Got more to be thankful for today besides too much food. Enjoy the pics.

Congrats, It's a big step when you make them roll around and NOT carried around:). Lets see the rest of the project as it unfolds.

Yes, Its epoxy primer." Buff," I believe is the color, its O'rileys primer. Anything to seal it for the winter. Drivetrain is 700r4, 327 roller and Dellorto 4x2,(looks like webers). No body yet, looking for 3 or 5 window. Need to sell another car before gearing up for buying a body.

Front axle is so-cal, polished only in the center and cast iron painted on the exterior. The center just has some GIBBS on it, that stuff is awsome.

Here are some more pics... wheels are f100 truck 15x5 (1961), the rears are truck wheel centers, on 15x7 shells. Rear brakes are 1960 buick backing plates, retrofited to ford 9" with 45 fins on all corners. Looking for rootlieb one piece hood top, louvered or plain.

Looks great to me. I know how much work is required to progress to this stage of the build.

Well, Santa came early this year. Kinda. He wasnt wearing a red suit, it was brown and he smelled like smoke. Also had a big box diesel truck marked UPS instead of a sleigh. I am finally gathering parts again to move forward on my build. Earlier this summer, I was fortunate enough to be able to find and obtain a steel 5w body from a fellow HAMBER DaddyO's..Deuce. Here is the thread about the body that was located this summer...http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=820267
We had a very quick 7hr trip to MO just south of St.Louis, and made good friend to boot. Once again, the HAMB has made another successful connection of great parts and outstanding members. I recieved my floor today and I am stoked, for lack of better words. The United Pacific parts product line has been a huge shot in the arm for this project.

Thanks for all the uplifting comments, I will post again in another 3 years. Just kidding, I hope to spend more time on the project now that I have some parts to work with. But, we all know work and family comes into play also.
