'32 dash in Model A roadster... Reinforcement?

Okay, I did a search and came up with nothing on this subject, so... How are you guys reinforcing your '32 dash in your Model A roadster? The typical tubing behind dash on the bottom edge will not work for me. My gauge panel will interfere with the tubing. If you could post some pictures that would be great.

We ran a piece of 1/2 inch wide steel strap along the bottom of the boss's car and connected that to the firewall with two pieces of tubing. The whole thing is rock solid with an Auburn dash.
