I want to build a 32 Delivery I have some ch***is rails lined up I need some pics , measurements and advice Any help would be appreciated Thanxs John Gilbert
Built mine out of a Tudor 22 years ago. Used a Gibbon door, but when it gets rebuilt it will have a steel door. Be sure to brace the inside of the body because when you take the center of the body out in the rear you lose some of the lateral support. Mine is cracking outwards from the corners of the door jamb(rear door) from the flex in the body. If you look close you can see it in the pic. You need to put some diagonals from the top of the door jamb to as far out as you can to the sub rails. Also some gussets on the bottom where the door jamb meets the sub rail would help too.
Here are some photos of my friend George's project delivery. He purchased a kit from a fellow in Kansas. This is not a cheap deal unless you do it all yourself. This is a first cl*** conversion done by Jim Hendricks in Northern California.
no i hav`nt seen that one J You guy`s might larff at me but i want to hand make the complete body I will be using a 3d program to design it so i need some good side , front rear pics A friend will let me make templates from his 32 pickup cab so i will start from that thanxs again for all your help John Gilbert
32 pickup cab is nothing like a 32 sedan. More like a Model A. You really need to locate a 2 door sedan and take your measurements from it.
Thanxs for your reply`s i want to build it for my buisness ( mobile rust repairs ) it will be used to carry my tools around so i might have to make the panel truck instead but with the rear end of the sedan delivery . Drop the body over the ch***is and a mild chop top thanks again for your help
so far i have been offered a 32 pickup cab to copy from also a 32 tudoor to copy the side panels from but it will be a bit longer so it will cover the rear ch***is I want to drop the body down to cover the ch***is rails and a mild chop top it will have fenders and hopefully a Jag diff<!-- w -->
