Say howdy to the newest member of my family. It was setting in a watermelon patch, next to a shop in rural North Texas. I finally got hold of the owner and he told me that he traded a four speed for it in the early seventies(back in Kansas). The guys where using it to shot coyotes on some big ranch. He got it and started drag racing it in the mid seventies. He built a new rear end for it with 316 spool, new axles and the shift points where too quick for the four speed. He took it apart to set up for an automatic and never finished it. It set inside his dads shop until he moved to Texas. He had it inside his shop until last year when he moved outside because he needed the room. He hated seeing it setting out there ruining. He liked my suburban and thought I would make a good owner for it. I agreed and we struck a deal. He didn't have any pics from the earlier days. Its pretty crude but the body is in descent shape. He tried filling the roof with some heavy gauge metal and warped pretty good. I am tickled to death to have it, ever once in a while everything just lines up right!!!!!
Damn, you did good.......As many years that I run thru Bells just wish I'd have known about it then.....
I'd sell before you fall in love...it will cost you tons to get er right. Good luck breaking off the romance. Guy

tcushing ... Welcome to the (very elitist & exclusive) "Chopped & Channeled 5wd Coupe" Chapter of the H.A.M.B. Deuce Club! Nice find! ... from the pics it appears the body is in good shape ... with a decent chop job ... and the poorly done filled top shouldn't be too hard to undo.
