How much cutting and hacking(or not) would it take to transplant a 32 firewall into a 30/31 coupe body? has this been done before? sorry for the stupid ? up front.
There were some pictures around here not too long ago. Kind of sounded like a goofy idea until I saw the pictures. Pretty cool - have no idea what it took to accomplish though.
Why not......a way better looking firewall IMHO. Where is Bleed?....I believe the Bleedster has a deuce firewall calling bleed..calling bleed.....I need to see the firewall of the bleedster chime in Bob....
Nope, Bleedster has a stock firewall...... I don't think it would be too hard to put a 32 firewall in a 30/31 coupe though....
Brush - Here's the old thread complete with pictures. Deuce Firewall Seems like it would give you more room. And it's not like you're trying to fool anyone - no different than putting a Deuce grille shell on an A in my opinion. It just looks cool.
Has anyone did the exact opposite?=32 body using a 31 firewall? I have a "pile" of a '32 5-W coming in for some assembly and owner has no firewall-also it will be a deep channel car so I'd think it makes better sense usin an A rather than finding a 32 [at their price] to channel......right?
I have been thinking of the same thing. The deuce firewall gives a "natural" recess with out "hiding" the engine. Of course they do look pretty nice in there own right. I wish they didn't cost so much. That's why I got an A in the first place. I could afford one. Woody
