Just though i would p*** this along it is a stock style seat for a 32 Ford 5 window. this seat was made in house and retains the stock dimensions and style just not the price of an original seat. Since we made enough side to make three seats a quick hammer form was used to help maintain accuracy on the finished edge. If you are only making one seat the wire edge can be put in with nothing more than a few hand tools and the rest of the seat is rectangle tube and plywood. once these seats are covered they look like a stock seat. The Base Dimensions are 19" deep 38" wide at the front, and 39 3/4" at the back edge of the seat. The plywood back is 26 1/2" tall 39 3/4" at the bottom and 45 3/8" along the top edge the top edge has about a 3/4" rise through the center. the metal side near the plywood stick out 5" or so, the lower is almost 4" up from the base. For seat sliders you can order a set from almost any parts catalog. Fabricate a few mounts off the base put the seat at the angle you want and height. Rex

A seat bottom will be made out of 3/4" plywood and held in place with two guide pins off the base just like a stock Ford seat. The rest we let the upholster carve the seat out of foam this allows him the opportunity to make the seat fit the customer exactly. Rex
Here is a similar seat for a 32 3 window they are a little different than the five window seat a little larger and more wood in the construction of it just like the rest of the car this seat has the slides in and the seat base is made with the guide pins Rex
Rex, just thought I'd bring this back up. Dose the upholsterer use a webbing on the bottom ? Would you happen to have dimensions on a 3 W seat? Thanks Duane
Never did see a price or if they or parts were for sale. I'm sure there would some interest in the welded bottom and sides and would be inexpensive to ship, (if sides not welded to bottom yet) most all can do the woodworking part. If metal parts were for sale, price? Thanx, Dave
Rex, nice work as usual. I saw one in a sedan at Columbus that someone made that I liked. How did you bend the rectangular tubing for the corners? Maybe you made this one for the sedan.
