Dennis hurry up and finish it already! You're still plenty young. I can't wait to see the 32 you build next to add to collection.
Stopped by Dennis's shop on Wed and his car is looking beyond great. His paint jumps out at you. The proportions are right on and his ideas for the interior are really neat. It's first debut in it's close to finished state will be at the Tri City Street Rods 43 annual car show in Grand Island NE Feb 20/21. Like to see local HAMB'ers out to support Dennis at the show.
krylon32, Thanks for stopping by and all the kind words on the new build. I do hope all the local HAMB'ers stop by the TCSR show and check it out. SEE YA ALL AT THE SHOW
Dennis, Very nice hot rod indeed...now just drive the tar out of it and let it out in the sun to bring that aged patina out more! I know the work that goes it to the build and now it's time enjoy it. I wish you and Gary were closer. 32 Spitfire High Noon Speed Shop - Baltic, Ohio http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/a-bootleggers-morning.993897/#post-11199293
Update on finishing tunnel, and shifter stainless steel trim. No speedway or jeg's parts here. All hand made.
Well I have been working on installing the wiring and this is one of the things I am not very good at due to having not done much of it over my life time. But I will get through it, but it will just take me twice as long as most guys on there. Under dash work all done and working under hood area and front lights. Then I will move to the back half. To all you guys that do this all the time I have a new found respect for you.....
Dennis, Coupe is sitting spot-on for my taste! You've done an incredible job. Could you tell us followers what you used for insulation inside the cowl, firewall and floor?
Is this a road car? Those headlights in that position MAY be a tad too low depending on the state law.
There are no laws in Nebraska when 383deuce is the Mayor. Here are some finished pics of the floor covering...
Larry, I am so glad to hear from you and that you are back with us. Thanks for the comment on the lights.......Still have the stainless trim work to install around the transmission tunnel and along the floor where the rubber meets the rocker. Kick panels and door panels to go yet.
Stopped by Dennis's shop today, missed him but the shop was open so stole a look. It's gonna be a stunner when it's done. Everything is just right.
Uh, some fellows on here would say "pictures!" or it didn't happen. And I'll bet you were carrying a phone that would have done it! Another of our pals, presently on some kind of sick leave but posting away anyhow!, would chime in that he is "patiently waiting" for those pictures. Just sayin'. Of course, I'm certain I wouldn't have thought to take a picture either! Now, those headlights... was anybody around?
