Hey Dennis, Here is a picture of the rear window wood in my car. Let me know if you need me to make a pattern or if you need anymore pictures. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Dennis, Happy you finally scored the 3 window you had been looking for. Just went thru the thread WOW fantastic work keep it up. ---Dean
Dennis, I have a album titled 32's in my profile, more pictures of the 3-window there as well as some of our other 32's past and present.
Not a lot of up-dates for everyone since returing from lake Bonneville last week. But I now do have a original 32 V8 heard light bar that has come under the knife of the Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop to install on my 3 window when it is ready for it........Don't get any better as far as that.....Thanks Ken & Keith for doing that for me. Plus it was great running to Wendover with you guys and everyone else.
Returned from the 2014 Greaserama show in KC and it was a total BLAST...If you missed it to bad. Weather was good during the day with rain at night. Tons of kick ass hot rods. Heading over to Andy's shop tomorrow to get a up-date on the 3 window. Will pass it on tomorrow.
Went over to Andys today and check on the 3 window....Looking good as he has started fitting the doors and squaring the top. Had to cut the A post as they had a bow in them where the doors line up with the A post. The Mayor
Made a trip over to Andy's today and took a couple photos of the 3 window. He said most of the body should be in primer by the end of the week. Next he will start on cleaning up the doors and fitting them. I rebuilt the door latches and took them over to him today was my reason for going over, plus I had to get my 3 window fix for the week, if you know what I mean.
2deuces64 Nope it is just the primer. Finish color will be washington blue with some sand through in a few place showing the red primer.
I've been lurking along since the start of your great project. The body just keeps getting better and better! She sure cuts a mean profile. Looking forward to your progress.
Nice start, good progress too! Can't wait to see the next stages! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I love to see another Deuce saved. Tons of metal work by someone who knows what they are doing. Congratulations on a great looking hot rod 3 window.
Bob, Yes it did. Ron had it for over 35 years and never had done anything to it. Took me over 6 years to get it bought. Sorry to say he passed away before I bought it from his wife. Ron had told me for years that I would own it someday. I was lucky enough that his wife Deanna called after his passing and told me it was mine if I wanted it. I am sure Ron is watching this build and approving what Andy and I have done with it to date. Sure would have rather been able to take him for a ride in it when it is done.
THANKS GUYS FOR LIKING IT........Spent the day working on building a steering wheel for it. Will post a photo of it when I get it somewhat done.
