    oh, snap!

he's still using many of the parts from the 4 door for his 5 window, it's not like he cut the car up and threw it in the dumpster....

    And still,you can't read.

Keep digging that hole for yourself. If you'd go back and actually read the posts he made, you'd realize he only sold the tub part. The rest he is using to make a 5 window coupe out of. Now,if you still can;t understand,I think you need a remedial course in elementary English.

  6. This reminds me of when back in the 80s in the musclecar craze I cut up a '67 Barracuda convertible. It was a 6 cly/ auto, I tubbed it, four link 21.5 M/T, 340/ SIXPAK w/ 4 speed. Man it was killer and fast! I used to get harrassed and bitched at for cutting up a rare car, I told them if they wanted to drive a lame 6 cylinder car then to look for one and buy it and to fuck off.:D

I'm on the shirts, will let you know when they're ready!

My apologies, Hooligan63. Life's too short to be ugly. I'm done with this thread and on to others.

He said he couldn't afford to do both,so he sold off the tub to funs the 5 window build. He ONLY SOLD THE REAR TUB THAT WASN"T GETTING USED IN THE 5 WINDOW BUILD. You try to make is sound like he cut up a 4 door sedan just to cut it up,and that he's parting it out and not doing anything with it at all. I can see comprehension is not your strong point. And try to comprehend this,I don't even know what the hell Glee is,or why you keep pointing out,so I guess you watch it more than I do,aye?

Last I saw it didn't meet reserve and failed to sell on a bid at a little over $200. We'll see if it goes higher on the relisting. Ya can't buy many hot rod parts for $200.

I think $800 is a great price. You could have a tub body for less that 5k with parts from Brookville...

Don't throw away the front windshield/door posts.. Somebody with a Model A would probably like to make the Model A look like a '32.

I mesured the difference at 3/4 of an inch in height. Part of the diffenrence os the shap at the top of the door .

But that's not the real problem with this prject. The Quarter windows are not the same when cut down to match dimensionally. The curves in each corner are all different.

Also the roof shape is different and the Fullness in the panel beind the qtr back window has to be dealt with.

Anyone who talks down on him for cutting down these cars does not realize how good of a fabricator this guy is. Hold your tongue, because you wish you would have when you see it done.

Holy Crap!!! I thought that this was a traditional hot rod site. Well, apparently quite a few people seem to think that it is only for those people that like restored old hot rods and God forbid if you do what the original hot rodders did, chop and cut and section what they had on hand to get what they envisioned in their dreams. Jesus, there certainly seem to be a whole flotilla of guys on here that certainly resemble the restorers from out of my past. A real bunch of PITA's!!!

"Sorry, you can't do that as it isn't "correct!" Ohhhhhh, that's the wrong bolt you're using there sonny. Ford only used fine threads there, and the slot is facing the wrong way!" WTF!!!

Restorers, there is a place for them no doubt, but aren't we hot rodders here?

32coupedeville, keep on building what you want. Those that can only whine and criticize what you are doing can go into the woods and propigate themselves!

This is one of the most endearing things about the HAMB. When you come here you're made aware that the site is about traditional rods and customs. So, to fit in you go along for a few posts trying to make everyone comfortable that your a GENUINE hot rod and custom guy. Then.......................a thread comes along letting you come out of the closet. WHAM!!!!! One guy (who initially claimed to be one of the flock) decides another hot rodder is making a mistake by doing what hot rodders have done since the first '"gow job" and a flock of restorers come out of the woodwork and procede to "piss in his CornFlakes".
If I hadn't read about it myself I would never have believed it. Where were all of you guys when those pieces of crap "rat rods" were being built and praised to high heaven around here the last 4-5 years?

Please enough of both sides of the BS meter.

Am I the only one that would really like to be able to follow the build of this without hundreds of posts that contribute nothing to its construction???

i have been collecting parts for the sedupe and since i have a buick nailhead i thought it would be cool to use buick tail lights and i also found some 53 buick dashes. the dash will have to be cut down to fit the deuce but i think it will be cool.
