Keep up the good work. Good to see you haven't been swayed by the many opinions. Having a plan and sticking to it isn't easy when building a car sometimes but it looks like you've got it nailed. Good luck with the build.

i just finished the floor under the seat and the drive shaft tunnel. i also choppe the front half of the body . i remover the outer a piller skin . the fron piller will have to be layed back so i have found it easier to just cut the skin off and reconstruct the inner piller . then put the outer skin back one. i think this is stringer as well. its going to be a very small front windshield but that is what i was after.

Great stuff! I love seeing builds like this. Makes me want to go open up shop in the middle of the night and work on my A

Also love your volksrod. I been a huge vw guy my whole life, and been wanting to build one. I just sold my notchback to get my model a project under way. Parting out my showcar rabbit now to fund it as well.

Thanks for the update photos. I know it is in a mock up state right now, but it looks like the quarter window section is longer than a stock setup. Is that true or just the camera angle?

Just read every page, renewed my desire to finish cutting up my 58 Edsel. A worthless four door station wagon that will soon be a 2 dr sedan delivery. Also driving my Ranchero with Thunderbird front clip again. I thought 4drs were originally built to be parts cars. How else are you going to restore all the convertibles and 2drs they dont make parts for? Lots of cars for sale right now, no buyers, but lots of whiners. Great thread, great job! Keep up the good work. Pay attention to your typing, that will be the next thing you'll get ripped for. LOL.

Looking really good Drew! I like how you mapped out the cuts on the quarter window, well thought out.

As said, the profile is sick! Glad the wheels worked out for you, they're gonna look killer on that car!

  23. I like the way it's heading and I appreciate the amount of work but god I wouldve killed for the 4 door sedan body.

It's looks killer,I like seeing a radically chopped and channeled deuce. Seems that everybody is afraid to build a 32 like this now. Go man go.

Shit...come on guys, enough with the negativity. Thats the reason all the gray-beards i look up to are leavin. Both sides have good points, but all this bashin lately is getting outta hand. The way i look at it is its his do with as he pleases. At least its gonna be on the road soon instead of wasting away on the side of a barn like it probably has most its life.

some one was actualy living in the 4door atone time. the seat was cut and had a hinge on it so it would lay down for a bed. from the looks of the roof it may have even had a second story. so i guess not only am i a prick for cutting a cherry body up , i am a jerk for taking some one home!
