Technical 32 Ford 5-Window Door Glass Help ….

    I am installing new side glass on the driver side. My question is what is the inner width of the door glass channel? My new glass is thinner and I need to do the calculations to order the right thickness tape the glass sirs in when installed in the channel. I would like to order everything I need before taking itcall apart.

    Thanks for any help you can give …..

    I see you have this posted twice so here is the answer from the first post I gave…..

    Whenever I swapped from laminate to tempered glass I just used an array of tape and the trial and error method.

    You can squeeze the channel closed to help in the setting process. Vice are pliers.

    I think if you're using new channels etc. you may be alright. the last one I did with all new channels/ felt was too tight and difficult the raise and lower windows.

    Be sure to check if the glass is centered are to one end. Channel can drag the uprights weather strip/vertical channel
