Technical 32 Ford 5-Window Door Glass Help ….

I am installing new side gl*** on the driver side. My question is what is the inner width of the door gl*** channel? My new gl*** is thinner and I need to do the calculations to order the right thickness tape the gl*** sirs in when installed in the channel. I would like to order everything I need before taking itcall apart.

I see you have this posted twice so here is the answer from the first post I gave…..

Whenever I swapped from laminate to tempered gl*** I just used an array of tape and the trial and error method.

 

You can squeeze the channel closed to help in the setting process. Vice are pliers.

 

I think if you're using new channels etc. you may be alright. the last one I did with all new channels/ felt was too tight and difficult the raise and lower windows.

Be sure to check if the gl*** is centered are to one end. Channel can drag the uprights weather strip/vertical channel
