Since I last posted on this thread in 09 I did find a 5 window in Mich. Fairly good body that had been channeled. With the help of United Pacific parts and Andy's Restoration we brought it back to life. Did a 3.5 front with 3 inch rear chop with leaned posts. Turned out *****in. Finished the car, had it about a year and it went to Portland where it's the buyers almost daily driver.
So this ol thread I started in 09 still kicking @ and I see I never posted what I went with. I did a business card chop 3 1/2. Sometimes I look at I wish I went a little more but then the older I get the harder it gets to crawl into... so what's done is done.
My '32 Coupe at the Abbottsford Airport drags in 1956. The sister of the owner told me that the car was sold and disappeared in 1959. I knew where it was but didnt know the history of the car until after I got it home and researched it. Took me over 5 years to get it from the widow of the guy who owned it for decades, the daughter wouldnt let it go. It was chopped a little over 5" in '48 or '49. I hope to have it back on the road this summer. I should do a story thread on the car, its quite the remarkable story. -Shiny
