Coke-bottle - That's Donn Lowe's fantastic 5W from Lowe's Kustom in Oregon City, Oregon. He builds some of the best customs, too. See issue 3, page 36 of Rodders Journal fot the full story. theBo'B

Well here is mine. It was a nice looking body that ended up having the lower 6 inches replaced. Painted JD blitz black LeBarron Bonney interior. Sorry about the 305 tuned port that may have to go in the future.

  21. This coupe might be familiar to some of you New Jersey guys ,,this car was owned and raced by Bill Vansickle and is now owned by his son.

This photo was taken on the Deuce Run a couple of years ago.HRP

  23. Here is that 5 window again with a little more taken out then the last pic I posted. Too much stuff in the shop to get a good pic, looks super neat outside. Firewall is just for mock up, it's getting an original. Halibrands are so tough. ~OILERS CC~

hey Mel...kinda like the way that blue 5w looks with the paint ground off the top....like a similiar paint scheme would look good on it.

  25. Yeah Gerry... the metal work is done so nicely it looks nice... raw. Matches the frame and firewall which accents it too. Not sure what color it is getting, I've been pushing for the two tone it had... love it, blk n blu. I'll try and get some shots of it out of the garage. This is all just mock up still, well mostly. Frame is done.

Between this guy Vivona with his style and workmanship, and Al Clark (Go Devil Garage) Flathead rebuilding, I aspire constantly. If you wanna soar with eagles, can't hang with the chickens. Hahah... na, these guy are modest gents. Happy to be their friends. Learning, soaking it up all the time...

Hey DD, I like how you were like "Firewall is just for mock up, it's getting an original". Like that was going to detract from the car at all.

Here's a couple from "Back To The Fifties" weekend, June 18-20, 2010 in St. Paul Mn. The full fendered one was built in 1969 and looks the same today as it did then. Paint has held up amazingly well over 40 plus years.

This one was in the parking lot at the host hotel for the Hamb Drags in 2007. It was a real survivor. I wrote a story about it for Old Cars Weekly.

This one belonged to a lister. One of those that think he just "got it all right". I think it is in the UK now.
