These are the type stories that makes the hair stand up on you neck!! Luckily no fatalities!! Since we don't know the details, glad all made it thru!!
Was it just me or did you see the Lisc Plate On Model A Wreck where hood went through window? CHICKEN!!! Hit Head on Does that mean he was playn Chicken? Kinda Weird! hthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgaZM...eature=related
willing to bet that one of the cars turned in front of the other on the turn and obviously didn't make it. Hope all is well.....................
iv read that lot of people lost there heads in model A's because of the gl*** not being of the safety verity, i guess temperd maybe the right word? anyone know if this is true? ( guess could be a combo of gl***, hood ) no matter what how they drive around here i can say id rather be in a model A than on a bike. at least i may get seen.. i just do not trust these guys on the road.. thankfully iv only been in a couple of accidents on the street none of them my fault.. i try to drive with the logic no one see's me. some may call it a little paranoid.. but iv already died once.. id rather not die again for good this time for a few more years anyhow. chis. chris.
Tempered (heat treated) gl*** is used for side and rear windows - never for windshields. Use laminated for windshields....
You want to see how a frame on a '32 Ford sedan reacts when the car hits a telephone pole stub at 50MPH--take a look at this from a 1957 jalopy race in So-Cal. Driver was OK.
I made a couple editorial comments on the picture below. In pretty much any old picture of a crash there'll be at least one guy with a smoke hanging out of his piehole.
It doesn't say who was at fault but from the damage to the two cars it would look like one made a left turn in front of the other. The 32 may be a gl*** car but it looks like it did a pretty good job of absorbing most of the impact.
