Technical 32 ford engine removal

Can you leave the transmission in the frame when pulling a flathead v8 out of a stock frame 32 ? Is there enough room to clear the front cross member without messing anything up, do you need to loosen the mount on the K member for needed movement ? In the past I've pulled them together, but this time i'd like to leave the trans in place. Thanks for any advice on this. I forgot to mention I am going to put everything back
