the engine snubber that goes on the back of a 32 ford Model B, was this used in all 32 fords or was it used in the trucks only?
on all of the passenger cars and light trucks that i have seen have had one,but the two bone stock BB trucks that we own, have the holes for them, but nether of them have the snubber.it seems to me that they didn't worry about the shaking in the big trucks. -danny
One article I read said that some trucks lacked the things...not a systemeatic deal, just variations. The holes are in all the firewalls, including V8's, as far as I know. I think Renner the B guy has some minor parts available-- for those who don't have a B, these are a sort of Hartford shock absorber attached to the holes that would hold throttle on an A, dampening engine movement.
only the firewalls in 4 cyclinder cars and trucks have the holes for the dampners.we have several firewalls from v-8 cars that are missing those holes. -danny
Everything on '32's varies...but the V8 walls I have are drilled for both throttles and the damper. Ford didn't fill the small holes with anything--insulation mat took care of it all. My Bangers too are drilled for the V8 throttle.
