I have a 32 Ford grill shell from Brookville that doesn’t have provisions for the shell surround trim. Does anyone have a good method for mounting the trim at the bottom where it sticks through the shell?
I gave away my last couple Brookville 32 shells because of insert fit problems, they don't like the original style welt and the rear trim is a PIA. Vintique is not the answer but it does allow for the rear trim and original style welt. Takes some work for the original or a Dales insert to fit but it's dam sure better than the Brookville's I've tried. Nothing beats and original!
Krylon , you are making true statements , on fit . The OEM stuff will fall apart if screws are not in place . I have helped with a few others . I can’t remember but seems as a Dan Fink was good fit and good parts years ago .
Well I finally got my grill squared away. The Henry grill is fitted and I made an attachment feature for the trim surround. I made a rudimentary die to get the basic shape and function. On to the next.
