its been a while since i last posted. since then, my 31 model A has become a stillborn due to far too much rust, far too little money, and getting married last month. but i found what may be a suitable replacement that i will be going to look at on saturday. its a 32 ford pickup cab with doors, steering column, etc. guy wants 6 bills for it. problem is, i know the bottom 5 inches of the doors are junk, the upper lip on the rear window is rotted off, and pretty much the bottom 3-4 inches is shot through with rust. the floors dont bother me, as the truck will be channeled, but the rest does. i dont know where to start looking for replacement/patch panels for this truck. the wife said to take a look at it and come up with a guesstimate on making it a usable body, and if the numbers are good to buy it.
goal of the truck is to be a solid daily driver. 4 1/2 chop, suicide axle, traditional style. probably a 390 ford and T-5 drivetrain cause there chep in my area.
anyway, first step is the body parts. any ideas for vendors? i dont have the talent to make my own.

Make sure the doors are good from the beltline up, if they're missing much around the window openings, they're damn tough to fix, and even harder to replace. Patch panels for the lower sheetmetal can be had pretty easily, from Howell, Dick Spadaro and others. You'll end up making a lot of the inner door parts yourself (only thing aval for doors are skins and bottoms) There's not a patch for the rear window, but that's easy enough to replace with something else or repair. Here's what I'm workin on for myself right now, sounds a bit like the style you're going for. Old pic, SBC was replaced with a Hemi.
