Try posting on fordbarn.com. Be sure to specify if are talking about a "big truck" or a "pickup truck". Also specify 4 or 8 cyl but I don't think that would make a difference. Charlie Stephens
Got hold of David G on the barn, says they are the same, got some pics coming, not sure if it's gonna fit with my non stock flat front crossmember tho!
The Radiator is the same as a passenger car but will most likely be a 4 cylinder although there were a limited amount of pickups with V8's. HRP
Pickup (99% are four cylinder) is identical to passenger. BB truck fits, some HD cores are thicker and slightly move grill shell...nearly all are 4cyl. If mounting feet are slanted, do not buy...seems like a LOT of people out there think '33-4 trucks are same as '32, and they aren't.
Sposta have some pics this aft,I'll post em and see what we've got! Thanks for the help guys, you too Brady! Hehe.
Won't your completely flat front crossmember move the radiator up a little, which in turn moves the grille shell up and then the hood will run uphill? I'm not sure, but it seems to me the mount is slightly lower. I thought Walker came out with a radiator that was slightly shorter for this type of application.
That pads that mount the rad are still below the top of the frame, same as the stocker. And I'll guarantee I won't run the hood uphill, thanks. Walker chops a rad for guys that wanna run a chopped shell,to run the hood even more downhill.
The tanks on a stock radiator drop below the feet. A stock radiator (see how I spelled that all out, R-A-D-I-A-T-O-R?) won't fit on your flat crossmember.
Does this mean I don't get into the next round of the hamb spelling bee? Cause that would just devastate my mother. Might wanna check your dictionary,is onlyest? A word? Pretty sure rad is.
Well, that cat sure isn't working! "Rad" is correct usage on any vehicle that has "Rimz." If your ride has "Wheels," you must use "Radiator." That's the rule here, right out of Strunk & White.
I do believe that a Walker radiator goes into the engine compartment 1''- 1 1/2''. Original V8 radiators work real well.
Tanks are below the mounting tabs though,I've got a flat crossmember, the top of it is only a 1/2" below the top of the frame. I think it will put the top of the top tank too high. And therefore the top of hood will run up hill. I'm thinking an aluminum RAD may be the right choice.
I've been collecting parts for the better part of 7 years! And you think you were the first to mention it? Really?
