Hello, would need your help. Anybody out there who made a custom windshield for a 32 Ford Roadster (besides the ones from HHR and Chip Foose)? Any help and pictures would be a great help! Thank's a lot!
There used to be some fellas on here producing Hallock style windshields. Maybe a search for hallock would be of some help to you. The trend around here has gond back to stock shortened as of late. But the Hallock style trheads should still exist.
Here are a couple of links with hallock Style windshields I don't know if you will find an Dueces in them but you can get an idea. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=441536&highlight=hallock http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=566423&highlight=hallock Here are a couple with DuVall Style windshields basically a Hallock with a top bar. One is on the Doan Spenser Deuce. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8587&highlight=duval http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=536915&highlight=duval A chris craft or boat windsheild is also an option. You might search that way and find a pic or two.
Thank you for all that info! I personally like the looks of the Wanl*** windshield but all you guys know how much they are. Also the ones on the Dearborn Deuces look kinda nice (I know, they are not everybodys taste). Chris Craft sounds good but also hard to find and a bit pricey. Some English Roadsters had good looking windshields too.
SoCal and Dan Fink also offer distinctive alternatives. They are also pricy. A good reproduction 32 roadster wind screen with chopped stands and all the hardware is also going to lift you a ways up off of your billfold.
Again, great info. Please don't get me wrong and I'm not Blindfolded. It's not my first custom or Hot Rod I'm building. I have build quite a few nice cars back in Europe. I'm nor Nickel and Diming here. Only asked for ideas. Dank Fink looks nice do me. Price is good too, you know anybody who used it?
The difference between the high quality stock style chopped repro SS and chrome windsheild setup and the Wanl*** laid back windshield is not that much. The Fink piece is nice but you have to weigh the cost of plating if that's what you want. I've done several Wanl*** windshields and the fit and quality have been good.
I'm sure you're right. Really like the Wanl*** style windshield. Think will be the better way to go. Look's like it's a really nice, especially with the top.
Here is one that Clark and I made for my old 32 from some s**** metal in the shop. It took about a week to build and polish and cost $100 to chrome.
