    Hey Guyz,
Is there a bolt on Steering box for a 32 Ford that looks the part and works better ??
I have Vern Tardels Book, truly a big help. My reading is even new they weren't "all that good"
I know I can rebuild this one if it's "gears" are not too worn. Just looking for something better ??
I'm trying to help out a friend with a restored more-door "banger".

    thnx,
    NaCifan

Either get Neal's steering box or alternatively ....go drive a model A. Preferably a 28-29 and then the 32 steering box won't be so bad.

There is not a better replacement steering box than Neal's. If the issue is the cost start saving for it. I tried every trick to rebuild my original '32 box, '34 ratio, seals, bearings, etc. I still wasn't satisfied with the results. Neal's steering box is the answer if you want a direct bolt in replacement. The old adage of doing it once is still valid.

Another vote for Neal. Used 2 and they were perfect.

  8. I tink they run a little under 1k, best to contact him and verify. Keep in mind this for a brand new made in USA part with a good reputation around these parts.

Better up the anti. A new NHRP Nash/Hudson style repro steering box with column built to be a bolt in for your 32 Ford will scare the hell out of $2500. There's usually a waiting list. He can also set them up to use your stock switches.
