Jub: If you are at work, start feeling suddenly ill NOW, go to the bank, and snap that thing up before someone randomly walking by the garage does. Or, alternatively, start working on the narrative details for the 'epic deal that got away' story that you'll be telling for the next thirty years!

Go buy it. But offer him $800. [IMG]

No deal is ever too good. Also if you are over-eager he might get the idea he's a complete fucking idiot to be selling that cheap.

And we wouldn't want that now would we?

But you've wasted valuable buying time...

Maybe you thought he said a thousand when he really said eight thousand [IMG]

If it really is $1000 dollars and you don't buy it, do a HAMB auction for the guys address and phone #. That should bring in some cash for Ryan [IMG]

Yes, that is very true. That is what I did when I found a V8-60 with Eddie Meyer heads on it in the Ghetto. The guy had a Model A rolled out on the sidewalk and that is how I met the ole' guy. But he said that he had not had the Model A out in the sun for over 20 years and he was amazed at how many people have been stopping by and asking if it was forsale.

Oh yea, Pix if it is true?

Brookville Roadster is getting ready to produce a new 3w shortly. When they do you will be able to buy doors that will match your body and they will be STEEL. They are going to be expensive, but they will be right. Besides, if you can get this body as cheap as you claim the price of doors will be a cake walk.

    Frank

[/ QUOTE ]will the brookville doors fit that body? isn't the brookville bodys longer than the stock?

  11. Im not a big 3 window 32 fan[prefer a 5 W] but isn't Dearborn Deuce the outfit Brookville bought to start their own project on building the 32's?

I can't believe there is even any question as to whether a $1000 '32 is worth it. I don't know Jub to know if he's BSing, but it's KILLING ME.

If I don't see a picture of this heap soon, I'm going to pop. And if Jub doesn't jump on this deal, I'm going to place ads in the York papers looking for "1932 Ford wanted, any condition". [IMG]

Jub, do you have it yet?!

The line about using a door from the 3 window to fix a wheelbarrow does sound like BS to me, April 1st was months ago.

  15. What I want to know is WHY ARE YOU ASKING???

Just buy the frigging thing for fuck's sake!!!

    ...then post some pics.

Hey man be sure and post a couple of pics after you get it home. Even if it's rough, 3-window stuff is expensive! Good Luck!

I am no vulture but I'll give you 3 grand right now for it. There is no other way you could make $2k in less than 24 hours. I'm serious but will need to see some pics first.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Are you fucking kidding me?

The guy finds a body that is worth $10,000 and you say you're not a vulture for offering him a third of what it is worth "sight un-seen"!

    Hahahahahaha!!!

    Vulture...

  21. It is a total honor to own a real 32 three window. I also think that 33-34 three window's lines flow better but the one year only, one model only, super rare nature of a 32 three window makes it my favorite. 1932 coupes and roadsters ARE hotrodding. Because of the low numbers produced, 32 three windows were never "easy" to find, even in the 50's.

Nothing, I repeat, Nothing on these cars is cheap. The doors will be next to impossible to find and when you do, they will cost a small fortune (3-5 grand each). The dash alone is 3 grand, garnish mouldings are 3 grand, a good deck lid is a few grand.... etc. etc. etc. The Brookville ones will be twenty grand and only drive the price of the real shit up more. A totally junked out 32 roadster will fetch over ten grand all day long even though ten grand will get a brand new Brookville unit.

Heart and Soul builds model A's. Heart, Soul, and cold hard fucking cash build 32 three windows.

Dude, if that car is really a 32 three window, you lucked out in a very big way.

I bet he loses it from dragging his heels....
Every hour that passes is time for the guy to rethink his sale, or make a phone call, or get approached by someone who knows the value!
What if some cheapskate comes along and offers him $4000.00 for the bod?
    GOODBYE BABY!
    Get it NOW bonehead!!!
And then offer him $500.00 bucks (CHEAP!)if he can find the doors...including the one with the skin cut off!!!
You could have a new skin formed for it.
Man if you lose this thru having "Layed back syndrome" you will be bitch slapped by every HAMBer you ever meet up with!LOL

Hope you get it man! We're all rootin' for ya...but your killin' us by having us wait so long!!! [IMG]

  27. the brookville body is a stock replica, the other is chopped and who knows what else different.

You might not have to go with glass doors if you don't want to.
I talked to a guy from Dearborn Deuce at the Scotsdale GG Show, time before last.
He acted like a asshole, but he did say he'd sell me some parts if I could prove I had a 3W.
( which I couldn't, I just wanted to buy a complete outside skin... [IMG])

Then again, If you are not in a hurry, It might be better to wait for Brookville.
    I think I would...
Partly because of that guys attitude, but more so because a body of theyrs I saw in a guys shop the other day.
It did not have the build quality of theyr show model.
And Brookville has not dissapointed me yet with any of theyr Model A stuff...

    [/ QUOTE ]

All of that is true metalshapes. That DD body is CRAP! No way will their doors fit on an original body. The bodies suck and the dude is an ASS! I'd definitely wait for Brookville.

  29. Still no pics. Is JUB out on the town celebrating his find
or is he in the garage (wet)dreaming.???? [IMG]
