  1. For a quick personal touch, I'd pop the grille shell off, mask the engine and firewall and spray-bomb the frame, grille insert and wheels... black.

It might make the purple more livable and the whole car a little less "loud", for lack of a better term. Won't cost but about $10 for paint and tape, and you'll have a whole different car.

My dad's roadster is a cut off 5-window.
Almost hates to change the posts, in the event that a top should ever turn up.

I think, I'd take the body off the frame, strip it down to bare metal, and buy the parts from dearborn to make it a 3w again...

Then I'd mock it up a bit, call it a "3-window Project" and pop it on eBay...

I bet you make a bit of a profit and still have a useable frame...

I wouldn't try to roadsterize it no matter how far gone it is. People are stupid about 3ws right now. I bet someone would buy it just for the challenge.

I really like what hotrodyblock did in the pics. Maybe a little cowl rework and a deuce w/s stanchions. I wouldn't rework anything else. Just use it and enjoy a piece of old rodder history.

If you redo to bring back to original all you have to start with is a cowl, trunk lid and some body middles. Been there and done that, won't do it on any old hot rod again. Takes a lot of work, lots of money and when your done you have a stock looking ford. How exciting is that really.

The old hot rods will never go out of style. I say refine it not redo it. Steve

Man...that really says it all right there.

I WAS thinking he should redo it as an original, but its already screwed up for that, so maybe he SHOULD go with the coupster approach and have something that others wouldn't dare to build!

    Be a Hoodlum!!! ;)

Well after what I did to the roadster, I was afraid to desecrate another holy grail, even though someone else did start the mess, maybe a little up - date wouldn't be as big a sin.

The rear of that car looks more like a roadster or 5-window than a Murray body. The part of the 3-window that I like is the rear body lines, and yours is either completely cut down, or was a meld of two cars.

Thanks, I sent you a PM. I would appreciate any help that the '32 guys on here could give me, as I need to order an inner panel for the deck lid, and don't want to get the wrong one. Send me a PM with your email, and I can send pics. of any angle needed to ID. the back end for sure. It would make me feel a whole lot better about whacking this thing up if it is two differnt cars already. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

Nope, I was wrong. Funny what some sleep will do. It's just a highly modified rear, but the 3-window comes down in a narrow point indent at the rear, while the 5-window and roadster stay wide. There's normally a little flip-up at the bottom, but that got modiified.
