I haven't had a dedicated drag car for years. I would remedy that situation in a heart beat if it was parked in my shop. A BBC/t-400 and a 9" would put a smile on my face you couldn't wipe off with a 2x4.
So..............how long before we'll be able to bid on it on Ebay?:rolleyes::)

Didn't sound like "Luck" to me at all. Sonds like he hunted, looked, asked around and beat the bushes tracking down a slim lead until he hit pay dirt. Everyone can have THAT kind of luck if they get off the couch.

Right now my friend is having a frame built by Al Simon with a Halibrand Quick Change. He' thinking about running a nailhead if he can find one.

  12. I asked my Dad if knew of any Nailheads, around. He quickly said,"Why?" Thinking I was up to something, I laughed & told him, Jim is looking for one. He didn't say anything, though. "Kitch" sent me home w/ a homework assignment, yesterday. I need to find someone w/ a stock 34 Ford. Dad mentioned he knew somebody, but I need to give him time to think about it.. his processor is slowing down, now-a-days!

I found a Model AA frame for a $100.00, also. Going to pick it up Saturday. Fairly local ,too!

  14. Thank you for the "AA" idea. I spoke the frames owner, a little while ago. He was saying the frame is so thick, it doesn't need boxing. Which to me means, it will be that much more stronger when I do box it! Pops is doing good. Just SSssllooowwWWED DOoowWNN. He was a work a holic, so it's time to just enjoy life. He pointed out a sunset to me, today. It's nice to see him smelling the roses..

That tube frame and body frame looks suspiciously like the Richard Hansen Deuce out of Long Beach, in 1962. (Hansen's Supercharger Service) Car had a Reath Chrysler 331, 6-71 blown, with 'major setback'.
Richard was changing class, sold me the Reath motor...
