I bought this *****in little truck from Steve at Limeworks late last year. Unfortunately not long after second gear went in the 3 speed which necessitated removing the engine and box (no fault of Steve's, just one of those things, turned out to be the thrust washer had broken so not too bad a fix) so I decided to go a litttle further and strip the front end and detail the old girl a little bit. Nothing too nice, just tidy, I dont wanna be worried about chips etc, I just wanna enjoy using it as much as I can. Anyway here are a few pics... Before After The gold accent colour is one I have wanted to use on a car for years since I bought this set of gauges. They will be going in the truck soon. Hope you like it.
Great to see the truck in excellent hands , it makes me feel good seeing my truck which was a "work in progress" go to the next level . You really made it your own I love it.
Steve...What about the pics of my old 34 Pickup....( well, Ricketts....) that we talked about at the GNRS....Didn`t that go to England too....?
Nice truck. I like the gold wheels and how you painted the dropped I-beam gold in the web area. The drilled axle looks cool. The flathead looks real cool too. Nice shade of green on the body. Does it go pretty fast with that Mountain Dew injection system you added to the firewall?
I have always loved that little truck. Seen pics on the limeworks website when it was still a big truck. You got it looking like a new penny under that hood. Mines gonna be similar, hopefully half that nice.
That's a neat truck....I looked at it at the CHRR a couple of years ago. I like what you've done with it, the gold wheels look good. Neal
Selling a car & it goes overseas is not always a bad thing , case in point , Gav took my truck which was done in old Hot Rod style , brush painted ch***is etc , engine straight out of a 33 Ford , stock parts throughout & has made it his own with detailing & careful use of accented paint. I am so glad it didn't disappear or turn into a St***t Rod Cheers Gav you done good Steve
Cheers Steve Means alot coming from someone who turns out cars as nice as you do. I don't want to change too much because basically is doesn't need it. It is what it is. A basic, early style hot rodded pick up and I think it looks spot on which is why I wanted it. Correct choice of parts, stance etc were already there. Oh and its still brush painted mate. Good old smoothrite.
