The King B was built in the late 60s by Shorty Orman. Shorty's all gone now but his little truck lives on and always draws a crowd at the car shows. It went by the name "King B" and was painted blue back in the day! Shorty repainted the truck in the 90s. He said he and his little truck roamed the streets of Wichita, Kansas, looking for trouble and made regular trips to Colorado car shows where it always brought a trophy home. It's powered by a 402 big block Chevy with an aluminum flywheel and a Corvette 4-speed, and what looks to be a '57 Chevy rear end. A big Walker radiator keeps it cool. The bed was made out of redwood, something Shorty was proud of. One wall of his house was covered with trophies that the little truck had won! Shorty himself told me when I bought his truck "When you let her out of the chute you better be holding on with two hands or she's liable to turn around in the road with you!" I haven't done much to the truck other than having the brakes freshened up and the quadrajet rebuilt. $19,500. And the magazine comes with the truck. Thanks for looking.
