AFAIK,my dash is made from sheet steel. I'll go out to the shop later today and put a magnet to it and see what happens.

My 31 PA is a business coupe and the only spare tire mount on it is at the rear.

As for what people will pay for Plymouths versus Fords go,what will buy a nice Ford or GM muscle car is a decent down payment on a Mopar muscle car.

32-34 Fords generally seem to sell for more, but that's mostly because there are a lot of people out there who have never seen 32-34 GM or Chrysler cars. Wave a 32 PB Plymouth coupe or a 33-34 Plymouth or Dodge cabriolet in front of a Mopar freak and watch him faint dead away.

It is true that 33-34 Mopar coupes sell for a lot less in decent project car condition than 33-34 Ford coupes, but the Mopars seem to be catching up when it comes to sale prices.

If you are one of those people who just has to have the most expensive car,by all means go with original steel Fords built by pro-shops.

If you just want a car to drive around and maybe take to an occasional local show, buy whatever you like and can afford. If you end up with exactly what you wanted when you started your car search you will never sell it anyhow,so why care what it's worth?

To put it mildly,my 38 Ford Standard humpback 2dr sedan isn't a highly desirable car that sells for big bucks, but your wallet had better be so heavy with $100 bills you lean to one side when walking if you plan on buying it off me. Even that is no guarantee you would end up getting it because I like the car better than I like money

The same will be true of my 42 Dodge business coupe and my 33 Plymouth PD coupe if I ever get them on the road and nice enough that anybody would ever want them but me. You might be able to buy them off me,but you would have to offer me an embarr***ing amount of money to get them, and I don't embarr*** easily. Showing up with a complete and original unrestored FL Knuckle Harley-Davidson for a partial trade would definitely be a step in the right direction, though.
