Im into this up to my armpits....aaaarghhh
Ok this really IS the last one...got a new digi cam and can't help meself.... Keep ya'all posted as more there's more progress...hope ya lik'em. Rat
Thanx for the comments guys....its harder than it looks. Esp when theres no second pair of hands around when u need em.... Heres a few more... Rat
Fitted the gennie cowl vent the other nite.....wasnt too hard. ACan any of u guys see where I could make some "improvents" to what Ive already done..? No shit canning or payin out now...ya hear !! Rat
Dunno wot happened there....LAST ONE !! Speed shift with the left hanf ? Haha, that 2nd to 3rd powershift is a natural .......like slappin' some sheila across the chops !! Rat
Looks great! Did you mock up the car before you had the motor work done? You are going to be one popular guy driving around in that! Seeing your car made me think that why couldn't I buld my car as a right hand drive? I'm building one from the ground up... Hmmm.. It would be different over here.
Dude its in epoxy primer - I tinted it up to see what it would look like !! Havent decided what colour to piant it yet.....its a pain in the ass picking a colour... Rat
That is coming out very nice. I'd normally stray away from a using color that light but it really works, I like it a lot.
Man, that looks good! I don't know what it is, but I wish I was flat knacker on the '38! Err, unless it's something, you know, unnatural, or something... Steve
Beautiful machine. Paint it the same colour as the ute in your 5th pic. Is that a GTHO replica. Lets see it.
Hey Frank, good work. Like the plates = I was thinking of something along those lines, but couldn't bring myself to order them until the car is further advanced. Is that one of Brownlee's bodies or one out of Victor O'Niel's molds? What width rear end did you use? I'm in the process of narrowing a falcon rear for my coupe, to use as a temporary one Til I can set up a QC. I'm using an XF Ute diff with 2 short axles - 58" wide. Cheers
Who's HO PUP??? I hope you realize now that you're gonna have to explain that like a thousand freakin' times..........kinda like "hey, you're wheel's on the wrong side!"
Thanx for the positive commments guys...makes it easier to go into the shed when you cant be stuffed doing it The ute is an XY Falcon ute - owned by fellow Hamber....Flatoz. Its his daily driver, when hes not drivin the roadster!! I don't have any pix of it but the colour is like mustard, mybe a bit darker....if u know what I mean. Similar to Jim Benitez's Deuce Tudor....paint it the same kolor...hmmm, theres a thought !! Tinting the primer was a kool way to get an idea of how the car would look....flat /suede black is always gonna look kool but its kinda gettin' boring....yeah? Stovebolt, the diff is out of a Centura....can't remember the exact width now but I an check it if u like!! 5 stud axles and 3.91 gears - beautiful. Even better....I got it for close to zero dinero !! I ended up adapting the big finned Mopar CL/CM Valiant drums to it coz the Centura brakes are shit and parts are too pricey. Too easy.... The body is a Deuce Customs one. I added the cowl vent, modified the firewall and column mount to suit my setup. Email me if u need the info..... Peddro....if they have to ask what it means, then they prob dont need to know ...right? Now you know whay I did'nt make it to Ballarat !! Rat
