Want to put one on my model A, don't have one yet but want to make sure I have room for fan clearance. How long is it from the mounting hole to the end of the rad (towards motor) on your average aftermarket rad?
How far should you run your fan from the rad for best cooling? 1"?
    Thanks

Anyone? I really don't want to end up being stuck with an electric fan, or have to push that rad out any further since I stretched my wheelbase about 3" and any further things will start looking gay.

  3. since no one has responded , i'll give it a try.....measuring the Walker Z-line radiator on the `32 in my garage from the center of the mounting hole on the to the back of the core it is 2 inches.....but, this is an air conditioning radiator..walker moves the core back about 3/4" on air conditioning radiators to make room for the condenser upm front , so i would assume a nornal radiator woud be 1-1/4"

Thanks for your help, your posts are always very helpful.
I read in another post of yours from a few years back that you went 14.5" from the rad hole to center of the motor mount on your 28 tudor, you also mentioned you recessed your firewall 3". You ran a mechanical fan right and had clearance with the rad with this measurement?
I figure with my wheelbase being 3" longer with a stock firewall that I should be able to pull it off as well.
    Thanks

I have a regular Walker in my 32, and from the centerline of the mounting bolt hole to the back of the radiator is one inch.
