History 32 rear window

Have original rear roll down window regulator ***embly out, noticed for the first time it is stamped with ( ATS PEND. ) anyone have idea what this stands for??

and often you will find no further information if a patent was never granted.

 

Yes I have seen patent pend, but what is ATS?
