Anyone have suggestions on a cheap, but workable bench seat for a 1932 Ford roadster?
    ~thanks ahead of time

  2. Mid 80's early 90's Dodge caravan middle row is perfect once all the BS is unbolted off the bottom.

I've had most of the seats for my deuce roadsters hand made to fit the car by my upholster. I did do one roadster with a Glide seat from So-Cal which I really liked because of the adjustments, but this seat and cheap are not in the same time zone

Early 80's Mazda or Toyota pick-ups. They tilt forward for access behind the seat and have adjustable tracks. I used a Mazda for my 32 coupe, narrowed 8" and have another to do for my wife's 33-5 window. Got them free from a mate so price was right LOL

That looks great @THIRDPEDAL Did you have to narrow it or does it suit a late A OK?
Much better unit than my Toyota or Mazda pick-up suggestion. I don't think we got Dodge Caravans here in Australia. Pity as they look like a good solution for early Ford hot rods instead of the $2000+ for a Glide or other aftermarket seat and foam.

Why not make your own wood seat frames and then get some stock reproduction springs?

A 32 roadster deserves better than a mini van seat.

a few brown school bus seats from ski resort transport bus...
i intend to run the bus base, cut and add about 9" to top rail...
then use another base as a back knowing it will leave about 3" between them...
    no recent pix ,

I didn't think cheap and 32 roadster went together.

  16. Make your own out plywood and foam. checkout Cory Taulberts roadster build thread for some pointers.
