I have a 32 roadster fibergl*** body from rat gl***. It has a smooth cowl and no lip like traditional body for windshield placement. Will regular 2" or 3" chop windshield fit on gl*** bodies or will I need to have a fibergl*** lip piece made to be able to sit my windshield in place. I have tried to look at pictures online and most of them have a lip or I can't zoom in to tell if they have it. Also input on which windshield everyone has used? I would prefer to go 3" chop.
    Thanks
    Brian

I would think your going to want that lip as the rubber gasket on the bottom of windshield seals against it , usally they get smoothed off for a Duvall windshield

body was something my dad ordered years ago and don't know why he ordered it smooth. I reached out to rat gl*** and said Duvall windshield is what he recommends for his body. I have no interest in a Duvall. Guess does anyone know someone that sells a fibergl*** lip section. I'm ***uming I have to have this lip even to run a speedway windshield or anything else.

No luck finding one. Anyone else have a source for the lip?

You don't need the lip. I had a 3"chop on mine lean the post back far enuff so it looks good and the wind shield won't blow back 20150823_191349-1_resized_1.jpg 20150829_183555_resized.jpg

Just screw a little L of angle iron or something similar to stop the windshield from folding back. Or bold a mirror like this to the cowl to stop the window from moving. It's a TR3 Triumph

What body and windshield do you have? Do you have any close up pictures of how the fit/finish is?

I found a fibergl*** lip. Rather marry that piece to the body
