R&J (Arkansas City, KS) builds a VERY nice 3w body for approx. 5-6 thousand. Yes, that is right $5,000-$6,000. (guessing at the price but they were $4250 3 years ago.) Also they will probably chop the top to your specs for extra money. And add stock-type hinges, etc. 620-441-0032

Like everyone here said build what you want...I did. It's glass but I like it, A LOT. It's a blast to drive. It's a Ratsglass body. A lot of work to get it looking hafway desent. BTW N&N Fiberglass makes a nice body too.

  5. Limeworks in LA sell the Rod Bods bodies (as seen in their ads in the mags). At least one US other HAMBer I know of apart from Groucho is using one.

GMT is/was the US distributor for Deuce Customs.

Kiwi konnection in bakersfield is the dealer for rod bods by elvis (Australian) Nice guy who knows a thing or two with an awesome shop. has some at the shop as well so you can take a look at the quality of these bodies.
personally ive been to tons of hot rod events and always look around to see all the fiberglass options there are and nobody makes a fiberglass car as strong and as detailed with the most minimal of body work needed than rod bods by elvis.
    and ive seen tons.
they are not the cheapest but consider what your getting in all bodies.
plus, kiwi konnections hand builds the frame for you right there to the bodies. so you know you will have a perfect fit...and they are the nicest frames for the money. real cheap too. i think they start around $1800 but prices change with everything.
so...do your homework, and kick tires like theres no tommorow when picking a fiberglass body....
I wouldnt worry about this nonsence about fiberglass vs. steel...i mean steel is the best bet for fit, form, value, and so on but there is nothing wrong with a fiberglass car.
i mean even so cal speed shop builds them, and theyre on displays at noteworthy places like the peterson museum, the NHRA museum, stories of people driving them for years...and they are still worth lots of money when finished anyway when built right...
I say build it fiberglass, and then build a model A on duece rails....you'll have the satisfaction of having to icons one fiberglass one steel, and judge for yourself....i bet you will see that they both turn alot of heads, both will burn up the road, and both will permanently give you a smile on your face.

It has taken me years of reading and roaming around on the Hamb to "get it". I will admit that at first did not. Traditional hot rods are the shit and a glass body car will never be the real thing. BUT if it were not for the glass 32 3 window I bought and am building now, I would have never "got it". I went with the glass body because I dont have the money for the real thing or Brookville. To anyone out there thinking of getting a glass 32 body think about this, It is SOOOO much more work and if you do it right, it will cost just as much! Take it from me. If I could go back and do it again, I would with out a doubt get a 30 or 31 and build that. They are every bit as cool as a 32, less money, less work and no fucking iching your ass off! Just my 2 cents, check out my glass 32 and see if you like it. I'm trying to honor traditional as best I can.
