The "V" license tag was a WWII thing, "V is for Victory". That was issued in 1943 as your current tag...rather than a "43". The stainless polishes real nice and looks very similar to chrome...so I never thought about using aluminum. But I do agree...I think the weight of the plate hanging on those tabs would eventually break. Neal
Very nice work. Love the stainless. I was recently doing some fence mending; The design looks similar to a chain link fence tension band.
First I must say, nice little jig you made there for the clamps. I need to make some exhaust clamps and I think that might help me out. Second... GREAT JOB! Don's books definitely don't lie!
Perfect. I was going to say go with it vertically centered between the spreader and headlight bar or above the p***enger frame horn, but this does look perfect.
Now name it the "Muroc" limited edition license plate bracket and dream up a scary dollar number and take applications for reservations for the first run...time to amuse yourself cashing in!
Once again home run again Neal. I was just thinking about what you started with when you built this car, It still one of my favorites.
Wow, so simple but so trick! Im a ****er for clean, functional home built parts.. And you did a hell of a job bro!
