Here is my newest project. We just finished the frame and disasembled it for paint so I figured I'd post some photos. Its all home built, the original frame was just to nice to molest so we opted to just build a new one. I'll post some more pictures as the project progresses.

WOW! That is a thing of beauty!
What is the piece bolted to the pumpkin? Some kind of pinion snubber?

Beautiful work. They look simple and easy to do when they are done as right as this one. Decieving ain't it. Didn't you say you made the rails? Any pics of that process? I was trying to figure out the alignment jig on the 3rd member too, a handle? Your Dad is one strong mofo, i am impressed for sure! Carrying that lump around like a briefcase isn't something i would willingly do.

Looks good, is it store bought or hand built? I know the answer but i don't think the guys on here do. Btw, i like your s.s. fuel line from the pump to carb.

That is one nicely thought out ch***is. The more a guys looks at it the more small details he sees that show real planning.

With a statement like that and an UN-chopped deuce body in the background, you CAN'T be a traditional hot rodder. ;)

    Just kidding!

Very nicely done. It's this stage, when you start doing paint/detailing/final ***embly, when it really starts to get fun. Looking forward to more pics.

BTW, I like that third member handle too. Patent applied for??

After discussing this post with IdDragracer over b-fast saturday, he said to post a little more if i like, so i am gonna try. OK, as far as the frame goes, rails came from JW rod garage, we boxed them in with cold roll plate, the front and rear crossmembers are So-Cal. the rest of the ch***is is hand built by IdDragracer and the So-Ida hotrods crew. the X member is hand done with the flared holes, along with the trans crossmember, brake pedal/ clutch setup. all holes in the frame are drilled and tapped with a 1/4" plate behind them. exhaust is S.S. and built by us. This is not a "store Bought" ch***is. We admit somethings are easier to buy than to make but, on a hotrod, a lot of store stuff doesnt begin to fit anyway.

We @ So-Ida Hotrods hope you enjoy this little project and get some kinda inspiration from it.

Here are some photos of the ladder bars and firewall as well as some pics of the sedan on the original frame. Sorry for the reverse order of this thread. Posting things is not a strong point for me. As for the plan with the car it is going to be a full fendered traditional rod. We are going to keep it unchopped and in primer for now.
