Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 36-3window, Mar 28, 2006.

  1. just got this one running and driving ,and took it over this to get coffee on it's first cruise

    original frame , pete & jakes's front/rear/center crossmembers..327/350 chevy..9 inch rear

not all my choices on some of the parts

it's done..the owner picks it up on friday...maybe if the weather is nice i can get a few "testing" miles on it

One coat of dark gray primer over all the body panels would do wonders for that car. Black or deep maroon wheels wouldn't hurt either.:D

It looks " finished " to me.......:)

Nice work and even if some of the parts were not of your choosing......you know deep down inside......you gave the look.....

I also LOVE the fact that you have the Cigar Lighter in the dash and the glove box box is just there.....
Is the metal glove box behind the door and does it have the ashtray ?

    .

  6. i agree!...that's the way he wants it. he was standing there when the black primer was in the gun..and said "that's enuff"

    the wheels he painted

like i said...not all my choices

...it looks like the owner is gonna run fenders from the way the rear tires are tucked in...nice job.

  8. thanks for your kind words. no.. the glove box door is just there to fill the hole. no ashtray...but the owner claims to have the ashtray and glovebox

Looks like a trouble free hot rod. I like it.

Bet the owner gets a lot of enjoyment from it this summer.

automatics and four bars work. If you get into the real math, its not that needed on the front but any car with HP does much better with a four bar rear....

I'd kill the front ones and space the rear tires about 2 inces each side and call it done! cool car.

Looks great to me ! Pretty much what I hope to have my own 3-w look like in a year, except for the 4-bar, color, and a few other minor details.

Very nice, there are some real craftsmen on the HAMB. are those guides on the door post above and below the latching hardware? and you need to fertilize your gr***, its turning white.

  23. those "guides" are female dovetails....a `32 3 window has two on each door

as for lawn care....my neighbor takes care of it , i will have to get him right on it
