Great Find , just move the axle forward as it's mounted behind the spring & shortened up the wheel base. They are indeed still out there.

That's it, the holy grail right there. You made a wise decision, and in about three months when you're halfway through building it you might start to think "what did I do?", but it will be well worth it in the end.

Good luck with it, and I look forward to a build thread on this one.

Yup..said in my first post that I saw it in the cl***ifieds. It sat in a barn from 1986 to 2010. It saw daylight for the first time in 24 years when it was rolled out for the pics in the add. It was put away in the 80's when it was hot **** to have diamond plate running boards, which I'll give you a good deal on if you'd like. ;)

Wife's has to get finished first..or it's my ***...haha

    Hi Charlie,

Yeah..I figured something might be bad on it that wasn't shown in the pics based on the price....but it turned out to be really nice. I got it home and starting rubbing around the car with 80 grit on the roof and quarters..but it went down right away to bare metal. Just some putty on the top of the cowl where the vent was filled and in the back where the roll pan was added. Looks like the whole vent unit is still intact too. Down the road I might open it up. I have to take a closer look at the brakes. The backing plates are 12 inch with a slot at the bottom for the adjusters. Came with a late 30's steering set up that I'll probably reuse and a pair of bucket seats. Spent the evening routing through a box of stuff that came with it and putting the dash back together...no guages or engine turned panel...but good cigar lighter and glovebox door/ashtray.
Marty's is looking real nice lately..he replaced the subrails, floors, door skins...deck lid and some other stuff...he's got a rolling ch***is done for it too. I think he's getting ready to sell his actually

As it turns out, the guy I bought it from got it himself from a good friend of mine Mike....small world. Mike has an album of pictures of the car when it was on the road in the 80's that he said he'd give me. He also gave me a brief history of the car which he said he'd tell me more about when we get together. It's been around PA for quite some time apparently.

Here's a couple more really bad cell phone pics that I took tonight after changing a few things. Took off the fender supports and added headlights. Borrowed the headlight bar from my wife's car and bolted on the lights that came with the 32. Need to remove the plywood bolted to the back of the firewall and swap the wheels asap..but I don't have anything laying around.

Very nice score. Welcome to the wonderful world of deuce 3w ownership. You seem to have all the high dollar pieces in your possession. Good thing. I acquired those pieces a little more painfully, I'll admit.

Spent some time cleaning up the body of the car a little. Wiped about a 16th of an inch of grime, dirt, and mouse **** off it. Also cleaned up the grill shell, fabric cloth insert, garnish moldings, and headlights some too. The body has a neat patina to it actually. I took off the fenders, running boards, and brackets and put on a set of 40 for steelies. Looks better already with just a little work.

Also put the old bucket seats that were in the car back in along with the steering column, wheel, and steering draglinks and tie rods. Rehung the decklid and license plate light/frame that was on.

After working on it tonight I couldn't help but to take a seat in it for a few.
