Looking for the best way to convert my (glass) five window deuce to tilt out windshield. I have done some parts research and i know I can find the hardware bits through Wescott, and the upper steel structure is available through So-Cal, but wondering if anyone here has made the modification?

    Thanks,

Yes. it's chopped 3" and as far as my research goes, it's a chopper body made by some guys in Georgia. I think they go by Specialties hot Rods. I can't confirm it, because the original builder is deceased and theres not much to go on numbers or markings. Based upon the photos of 5 windows on their site, the hinges, steel interior structure and door hinges look similar.

Hemiduz, can you comment on the quality of the body? A few of us were curious due to their prices and the fact that they use a chopper gun.

Hemiduz, I've done this on my car, I have a Coast to Coast body and had to start from scratch. I had to build brackets and glass them into the header panel to mount the hinges. Lots of calculating to get the swing right, the windshield needs to move forward and upward as it swings out. There is a build by Hot Turkey who documents this very well as he did the same thing. Do a search for Hot Turkey can't afford a 32 build one half glass coup
