In consideration of time and money I would go with a complete new ch***is, it’s just going to be easier if your not a seasoned hotrod builder , Not sure if krylon32 still does ch***is but he’s in Nebraska as DBA cornhusker streetrods , nice tig welded and reasonable price for quality and knowledge I would do 40 rear spring ladderbars and Vega box upfront with drop axle and hairpins
Be sure to get friendly with your DMV before you start with the new ch***is approach. Charlie Stephens
Here's an article on mine. Dumped the IFS. All in my garage without a jig. Used the independent cross member as a jig. https://www.peteandjakes.com/going-old-school-ifs-to-dropped-axle-swapout/
Beautiful ride! What are your wheel and tire sizes? How did you like going back to the I beam? Was the ride noticeably different? Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Just one more thang..........you look like a Ford man.......what the hell is a shivel-lay motor do'in in a FORD car?!! Add AC fer sure 6sally6
Halibrands, real ones, 15X6 and 15X8. 185/65 and 235/70 It actually rides as good, or perhaps a little better. All of my cars have had mono leaf springs and P&J front shocks. Spend the money and get the Saginaw Vega steering box.
