Well I set the roadster back down on the ground today after a couple months, rolled it outside and checked out the new look. I will add some before and after shots......the first is this spring when I got it driveable and the second mid September before I tore it apart. The plan right now is to finish the interior in a dark brown vintage looking leather, black steel wheels with a tan stripe, and ivory numbers on both doors. The plan could change tomorrow, who knows. Any ideas from this point would be appreciated, its always nice to see from someone elses perspective and hear their ideas. Later RP
Looking good! Some ivory pinstriping might look good, and help tie in the numbers on the doors, as well as the stripe on the wheels and the tan top. Malcolm
I dig the way it looks right now with the Americans. Add some ivory and tan pinstriping to the car and the black steelies and skip the numbers. You'd have two very distinct looks with just a change of wheels.
My 2c, if at one time your car / body was a race car, use that number if you want. Otherwise, why? Gary
If the numbers are not significant to you or the car I'd pass. It's just one of those things that are in vogue right now and after the fad passes your left with a dated look. Frank
looks great the way it is,but maybe some more chrome, like the hairpins, but the car really does look great.
Ivory for numbers is right for me. I like the wheels like they are. I like the slant angle of the windscreen, so many of them look like they tilt back too much. Beautiful car.
Thanks for the advice.............Im not set on the numbers, I have also went back and forth. Probably do some striping and quit there. We will see............Later RP
