I think that patina red 3 window is the one that was turned from a sedan???? I think it was from Germany?? Maybe??? Cool ride for sure. For the guy who wants to build a 3 window from sedan parts...take note. Pete-
My coupe with a 6" channel and a chopped '32 grill. Please excuse the ****per and my kid's OT Chevelle. I'm gonna build a thread with more in depth info on it soon.
33/34's all the way. I love 32's also, but the "one year only" transition 32 seems more Model A (a rounded off 30/1) than 33. Side by side, when you compare a 32 against a 33/4 one panel at a time the difference is stunning. Look at the difference and single model year improvement in the lines of the 33 grille, front fenders, hood sides, hood tops, cowl lines, etc. when compared to the 32. I always wondered how the 32 would of evolved/changed if it lasted several years. In other words the 33 didn't get released until 1935...

Hahaha! Yep, count me in the Surprised group with the responses. Count me in the Shocked group that so many HATE the 33/34 grille . . . it is so much ***ier than the deuce grille. Hope everyone is punching a vote ****on. '34 for me.
The 33-34 front end with or without fenders is the absolute baddest ever! All three years are the icons of hot rodding, follwed closly by "A's"
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=35276&pictureid=404959 33 for me but I'd love a 32 roadster.
33 all the way. I almost DON'T like a 34 at all, but at least the coachwork is close enough for some forgiveness. Well, except the Victoria. I think a 34 Vic is just short of ugly. It's like a 35 flat back Tudor with a 34 front end grafted on. 33 has that ***y bustle to the back, more like a 32. I don't dislike a 32 at all. In fact a Deuce Tudor with bobbed rear fenders and frame, and an overall bad*** horsepower vibe would really get it done. The other Deuce props go to the frame. Best platform for an A cpe bar none, but I'm getting off track there. In the end you need em all. Model A cpe on Deuce rails, Deuce Tudor ultra hi-po build, 33 3W w/out fenders, 34 roadster with a 37 truck grille, a 36 3W slammed and skirted, a 38 Deluxe/39 Standard Tudor highway cruiser, a 40cpe all done up in mid-60s style. Throw in the occasional pickup to chase parts...
32's, 33's, 34's , they are all head turners and I like 'em all. The 32's to me are the all time all American Hot Rods, but the 33's and 34's are more stylish with those raked back lines, splayed out front fenders, and neat shaped grille. Cars are like girls, the curvier they are, the ***ier they are. If you lined up all three years, and twisted my arm, I'd hesitate a bit and probably choose the '34. --- Steve ---
For me it has to be the 32 , I just love the clean lines and the simple beauty. But I do like 33 and 34.
Definitely '32. No wait. '33/'34 Nah...for sure a '32. Dammit...I love a '33/'34 But man '32s are great! Doggone it, 34Larry...why do you do this to us? WHY?!!?
'32 for me. There was another poll about Model A v. Deuce, where I preferred the former. To me the A is the real pivot; the point where the popular automobile as artis**** artifact reached its peak before gradually morphing into something that is necessarily a product of the exclusive m***-production factory. The T and the A were m***-produced but didn't have to be, as evinced by the guy who made replica As in the '60s. Every successive design became harder to make yourself, beginning with the Deuce's ***y frame rails. The '33-'34's free-form panel interfaces actually represent quite a leap. Put it this way. The Deuce was more sheet-metal-press-intensive than the A, and the '33-'34 was more sheet-metal-press-intensive than the Deuce. It's all part of a long process of screwing us, a process that eventually resulted in the modern technologically-opaque, unwrenchable, disposable car. The difference between the Deuce and the '33-'34 is actually the difference between (a tendency towards) "traditional" technology and (a tendency towards) "OT" technology, to use HAMB terms - though over a single year the difference is relatively small. One can engage with the former, permeate it, mess around with it, redefine it in one's own terms. The latter one can either buy or leave on the shelf.
Just to throw the pole under the bus,,the way I look at it the Deuce is coming out on top....follow my warped way of thinking. <table cl***="tborder" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" width="100%"><tbody><tr> <td cl***="tcat" colspan="4"> View Poll Results: Which is your favorite ? </td> </tr> <tr> <td cl***="alt1" width="75%"> 32 Fords </td> <td cl***="alt2" nowrap="nowrap"> </td> <td cl***="alt1" ***le="Votes" align="center" nowrap="nowrap" width="12%">113</td> <td cl***="alt2" align="right" nowrap="nowrap" width="13%">39.10%</td> </tr> <tr> <td cl***="alt1" width="75%"> 33/34 Fords </td> <td cl***="alt2" nowrap="nowrap"> </td> <td cl***="alt1" ***le="Votes" align="center" nowrap="nowrap" width="12%">176</td> <td cl***="alt2" align="right" nowrap="nowrap" width="13%">60.90%</td></tr></tbody></table>We have a one year only car and in my bias opinion ..competing for a top spot against two different cars although to a novice they appear to be the same,,so if you split the numbers down the middle you have 88 vote for a 33 and 88 vote for a 34. The Deuce is in the led! HRP
Wow. I couldn't agree more. I've had a slew of '32s, but my favorite car of all is a heavy chopped model 40.
She sounds very intelligent to me! Makes perfectly good since to me,,this pole suggest it takes 2 different year models that are very similar in looks combined to skew the numbers. The ***le thread ask "32 vs 34 which is your favorite",,but when the pole is reviled it has the 33/34 together. I believe the pole would have a different out come had all 3 cars been listed separately,,I revel in stirring the pot! HRP
The top 3 on list is a 32,33,34 fords for hot rods.....4 sure all day every day.....but if you every notice there is never no fly's around a 33.....end of story....the game will never change only the players!!!!
